Ntcheu is a district in the Central Region of Malawi. It shares a border with Mozambique to the west. The district lies around halfway between Lilongwe and Blantyre, about 180km from Lilongwe and 130km from Blantyre on the M1 road.

The district is well known for its vegetable production such as Irish potatoes, carrots, oranges, onions, beans, cabbages, and tomatoes.

Most of the occupants of the Ntcheu District are of the Ngoni people, and Lizulu in Ntcheu is the headquarters of the Ngoni people. Chichewa is the main language spoken in Ntcheu.
